Wire erosion cutting EDM is a high-precision machining method used for electrically conductive materials that works on the principle of spark erosion. The accuracy of the process is based on the fact that the spark always jumps at the point where the distance between the workpiece and the wire is shortest. Wire-cut EDM makes it possible to realise small cutting widths in combination with complex contours and minimal radiuses. The highest demands in terms of dimensional and shape accuracy can thus be implemented.
